WAGERS, Chester Junior "Teeter" (1955 - 2019)
Mr. Chester Junior “Teeter” Wagers, 63, of Manchester, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 12, 2019 at the Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Chester Wagers Sr. and Sally Mae Wagers born on June 28, 1955 in Hyden.
Teeter was a former coal miner and of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, roosters and spending time with his grandchildren.
In 1976, he united in marriage with Linda Elaine Crass.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Wagers.
Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Wagers, of Manchester; three children, Jeff Wessel of Richmond, IN, Terri Lynn Osborne and Willie Wayne Henson both of Manchester; four sisters, Eula Mae Smith, Amanda Jackson and husband, Landon, Betty Ann Wagers and Donna Kay Wagers all of Manchester; three brothers, George S. Wagers and wife, Kathleen, of Hector, Millard Wagers and Sammy Wayne Wagers both of Manchester; four grandchildren, Cody, Jordan, Landon and Bradley; a great granddaughter, Melaya; several aunts and uncles; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted at the Church of God in Christ Mission in Manchester Friday, May 24 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Jesse Henson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Wagers Cemetery at Hector.
Casket bearers will be Cody Osborne, Jordan Wagers, Landon Wagers, Gilbert Bowling, Carlie Smith, Gary Wayne Bowling, Simon Hall and Lester Smith.
Friends may call at the church Thursday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Friday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
