MILLS, Frank (1937 - 2019)
Mr. Frank Mills, 81, of Cannon, passed away Thursday evening, April 4, 2019 at his home. He was the son of the late George and Mary Wagers Mills born on November 10, 1937 in Knox County.
Frank was a former truck driver and of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting knives.
On March 1, 1958, he united in marriage with Lucy Mae Jackson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Mills Barnes; a son, A. G. Mills; two brothers, Clevland and Estle Mills; a daughter-in-law, Angela Mills and a brother-in-law, Billy Eversole.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lucy Mills of Cannon; his children, Billie Mills, Nathan Mills and Ethan Mills all of Cannon, Mary Ann Mills Richards and husband, Ted Jr., of Houston, TX and Christine Mills of Cannon; three sisters, Jane Daniels and husband, Clem “Sonny”, Della Mae Messer and husband, Arvil, and Gracie Eversole all of Hinkle; a brother, Lester Joe Mills and wife, Gilda, of Michigan; a host of grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, April 10 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Tommy Frazier and Rev. Ted Eversole officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Eversole Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Chris Fisher, Chris Carnes, Bennie Edwards, Brandon Edwards, Nathan Mills and Danny Mills. Honorary bearers will be the staff of the Barbourville ARH Hospital and Knox Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Wednesday prior to the funeral hour.
