MARTIN, Terry Wayne (1951 - 2019)

Mr. Terry Wayne Martin passed away at the age of 67 on Tuesday afternoon, March 5, 2019 at the Batavia Nursing Facility in Batavia, OH.  He was the fourth child of the late Ralph Dennis and Vernetta McDonald Martin born on June 30, 1951 in Barbourville.

He was a graduate of Beavercreek High School and then attended Sinclair Community College.  He later taught woodworking and industrial arts at Cambridge Technical Institute in Dayton, OH. Terry loved hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family, friends and dogs, especially Barney.  He was also a UK enthusiast.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a beloved nephew, David Briggs Martin.

Survivors include his children, Jason Wayne Martin of Beavercreek, OH and Amanda Beth Martin of Piqua, OH; a granddaughter, Hallie Martin of Dayton, OH; three siblings, Dennis Martin and wife, Jeannie Martin, of Raleigh, NC, Janice Martin Collier and husband, Dr. Ronald N. Collier, of Hazard and Barry Martin and wife, Caroline Martin, of Beavercreek, OH; numerous nieces and nephews, Deronda Collier Mobelini of Hazard, John Martin of Wilmington, NC, Heather Collier Speicher of Baltimore, MD, Jarrod Martin, Joshua Martin, John David Martin, Chris Martin and Janna Martin Noble all of Dayton, OH; his long-time and close friend, Andria Angel of Dayton, OH; among other loved ones and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held at the McDonald Cemetery Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Jeffrey Branum officiating.

Casket bearers will be Jason Martin, Jarrod Martin, Josh Martin, Mayor Happy Mobelini, Hunter Martin and Riley Martin.  Honorary bearers will be Dennis Martin, Barry Martin, Dr. Ronald Collier, Ervin Dale Martin and Donnie Martin.

Friends may call at the cemetery prior to the service time.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
