HENSON, Margarette Faye (1931 - 2019)
Mrs. Margarette Faye Henson, 87, of Gray, passed away Thursday evening, April 4, 2019 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lelia Yeager McWilliams born on May 13, 1931 at Bimble.
Faye was a homemaker and a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, tending flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
On February 5, 1948, she united in marriage with Lee Henson and to this union four children were born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Henson; three sisters, Josephine Mills, Betty McHargue and husband, Jerry, and Mary Lockard and husband, John; three brothers, Willard McWilliams, John McWilliams and Norris BraxtonMcWilliams and wife, Joyce; a granddaughter, Christy Lee Hiles and two great grandchildren, Dylan Edward Reynolds and Whitley Paige Medlin.
Survivors include her children, Danny Lee Henson of Gray, Vivian Gail Henson Sears and husband, Jerry, of Gray, Deborah Rae Henson Baird and husband, David, of Cannon and Larry Joe Henson and wife, Alana Hammons, of Barbourville; a sister, Doris Casey of Redding, CA; 10 grandchildren, Amy Jayne Sears Demaray, Bridgett Renee Elliott, Olivia Nicole Holstein, David Michael Baird, Jeremy Alan Sears, Ian McKinley Henson, Zachary Joseph Henson, Simon Brown, Emma Woods and Montana House; 12 great grandchildren, Megan, John and Emily Hiles, Kaylee Reynolds, Dawson and Josie Elliott, Chloe Sears, Lexi Ward, Ayden Demaray, Allie and Sophie Holstein and Conor Henson; a sister-in-law, Janet McWilliams of Louisville; many special nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, April 11 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Jeffrey Branum officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Yeager and Powell Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be David Michael Baird, Jeremy Alan Sears, Ian McKinley Henson, Zachary Joseph Henson, Tyler Elliott and Shawn Demaray. Honorary bearers will be Dawson Elliott and James Holstein.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care given by the Commonwealth Cancer Center and Baptist Health Corbin.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.
