DUSINA, Carlton R. (1933 - 2019)
Mr. Carlton Roy Dusina, 85, of Davis Bend, passed away Tuesday evening, January 8, 2019 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was the son of the late Tom and Eliza Cupp Dusina born on January 31, 1933 in Floyd County.
Carlton was a former General Motors employee and a member of the First Baptist Church of Artemus. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and fishing. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
In 1949, he united in marriage with Amanda Davis and to this union two children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda; a sister, Jean Dusina and a son-in-law, Dennis Barrer.
Survivors include his children, Billie Barrer of St. Clair Shores, MI and Roy Carlton Dusina and wife, Tina, of Davis Bend; eight brothers and sisters, Reba, Tommy, Jerry, Glen, Myra, Mary, Janice and Donna; four grandchildren, Cara Barrer, Dennis Barrer Jr., Amanda Barrer and Kara Dusina; six great grandchildren, Lorne, Ashley, Ashton, Bethany, Kayla and Kenneth; two great-great grandchildren, Lucy and Dakota; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, January 11 at 7 P.M. with Rev. Steve Mayle officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Davis Cemetery with military funeral honors.
Casket bearers will be family and friends. Serving as honorary bearers will be Red Hamilton and Fred Bruner.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday after 5 P.M. until the funeral hour. Saturday family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10 A.M. and proceed to the cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
