DAVIS, Sharron Elizabeth (1952 - 2019)

Mrs. Sharron Elizabeth Davis, 66, of Himyar, passed away Monday evening, January 21, 2019 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Curtis Baker and Catherine Buttery Baker Turner born on March 13, 1952 in Barbourville.

Sharron was a former employee of Warnaco, Union National Bank and Commercial Bank and a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church.  She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and was an avid UK fan.

On June 6, 1970, she united in marriage with Harrison Davis and to this union two children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bess Baldwin and two brothers, David H. Baker and Garrett “Scott” Turner.

Survivors include two children, Angela Landrum and husband, Tony, and Byron “Shane” Davis and wife, Heather, all of Himyar; a brother, Curtis “Mike” Baker and wife, Tammy, of Mackey Bend; five grandchildren, Emily Beth Davis, Elizabeth Ann Landrum, Tyler Shane Davis, Evan Wayne Landrum and Izaiah “Alex” Gray; nieces and nephews; best friends, Mary Lou and Ed Martin, Charlotte Smith and Bobby and Jerrie Valentine; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted at the East Barbourville Baptist Church Saturday, January 26 at 3 P.M. with Rev. Josh Smith and Rev. Samuel Lawson officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Farley Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Joe Watkins, Doug Dozier, Matt Martin, Jim Stewart, Julian Blalock, Rodney Smith, Jack Davis and David Faulkner.  Honorary bearers will be employees of the Daniel Boone Family Health, Dr. West, Dr. Vora, the staff of Barbourville ARH Hospital and her special caregiver, Ashlyn Meeks.

Friends may call at the church Friday between 5 and 9 P.M. and Saturday after 10 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
