BELLEFEUILLE, Dwaine L. (1942 - 2019)
Mr. Dwaine L. Bellefeuille, 76, of Barbourville, passed away Friday afternoon, January 04, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was the son of the late Theodore “Ted” and Clara Smith Bellefeuille born on March 8, 1942 in Barbourville.
Dwaine was a funeral director and embalmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Artemus. He was a former manager of Hampton Funeral Home and at the time of his death, he was an embalmer with Singleton Embalming Service. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially Marlee, and was a long-time subscriber to Motor Trend and Consumer Reports.
On July 12, 1999, he united in marriage with Cathy Jackson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Rev. B. F. Jackson and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly and Bobby Taylor.
Survivors include his loving wife, Cathy Bellefeuille of Barbourville; two stepchildren, Cindy Lynn Smith and husband, Vince, of Boone Height and Malena Ann Cox and husband, Michael, of Artemus; three grandchildren, Jacob and Jonah Smith and Marlee Annabelle Cox; his mother-in-law, Freda Jackson of Artemus; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Patty and Sonny Lawson and Pam Jackson all of Artemus; special friends, Gervis and Craig Singleton; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, January 7 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Steve Mayle officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Vince Smith, Michael Cox, Jacob Smith, Jonah Smith, Shawn Smith and Kevin Lawson. Honorary bearers will be Herbie Smith, Tim Davis, Greg Helton, Jack Powell, Daniel Boone Smith, Sonny Lawson, Kevin Partin, members of the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky, co-workers with Singleton Embalming Service, Dr. Paul Pedersen, the staff of the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Baptist Health Corbin Physical Therapy, Air Evac, Knox County EMS and his church family.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday after 12 noon until the funeral hour.
