Mrs. Joe Ann Rumfelt, 63, of Bryants Store, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at her home. She was a daughter of Sarah Branum Gregory Worthy and the late D. C. Gregory born on October 15, 1946 in Middlesboro.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church at Heidrick. She enjoyed cooking and sewing.

On May 16, 1974, she united in marriage with Robert D. Rumfelt in Allen Park, MI and to this union four children were born.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Kott and a brother, Dewayne Gregory.

Survivors include her husband, Robert D. Rumfelt of Bryants Store; her mother and step-father, Sarah and Shelton Worthy of Westland, MI; four children, Sherry Jo Wentela of Detroit, MI, Terry Jo Scott and husband, Curtis, of Westland, MI, Robert Charles Rumfelt and wife, Laura, of Clayton, DE and Bobbie Lee Leared of Frisco, TX; two sisters, Shirley Deselless and husband, Terry, of Garden City, MI and Diana Smart of Roseville, MI; three brothers, Jimmie Lee Gregory and wife, Connie, of Novi, MI, Dewey Gregory and wife, Marlene, of Howell, MI and Danny Gregory of Westland, MI; eleven grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.

A private graveside service will be conducted in the Cane Creek Cemetery in McKinnon, TN.

Local arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
