Mr. Gary Wayne Good, 55, of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday evening, February 24, 2010 in the Knox County Hospital. He was a son of Louise Cole Good and the late Lucian Good born on October 30, 1954 in Bell County.
Mr. Good was a former respiratory therapist and a member of the First Baptist Church of Barbourville. He was an avid UK fan and enjoyed fishing, cooking and the outdoors.
On June 11, 1983, he united in marriage with Gina Lynn Hammons in Middlesboro and to this union two children were born.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Ann Good.
Survivors include his mother, Louise Good of Middlesboro; his children, Savannah Leigh Richardson and husband, Scotty, of Barbourville and Christopher Good and wife, Candice, of London; his former wife, Gina Lynn Good of Barbourville; a sister, Mary Alice Good of Middlesboro; a brother, Terry Arvin Good of Middlesboro; five grandchildren, Aubrey Leigh Richardson, Deacon Chandler Good, Cadince Lea Good, Kelsey Richardson and Lauren Richardson; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, February 28 at 3 P.M. with Rev. Shane Nickell and Rev. Kenneth Cole officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro.
Casket bearers will be Tony Todd, Dion Pickard, Clevis Carter, Tommy Engle, Vernon Liford and Jack McWilliams. Honorary bearers will be Drs. Vora, West, Bushey, Hayden and Kumar.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
