Mrs. Maudie Saylor, 75, of Flat Lick, passed away Tuesday evening, February 23, 2010 in the Pineville Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Leonard and Hallie Wynn Caudill born on July 18, 1934 in Harlan County.

Mrs. Saylor was a homemaker and a member of the Pigeon Roost Holiness Church.

On January 17, 1953, she united in marriage with Gilbert Saylor in Bell County and to this union four children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert and three brothers, Hobert and George Caudill and Don Hudson.

Survivors include her children, Leonard Saylor and wife, Mary, of Flat Lick, Nancy Honeycutt and husband, Lester, of Gray, Joe Saylor and wife, Barb, and Hallie Gray and husband, Roger, all of Flat Lick; a brother, Denver Caudill and wife, Gladys, of Brodhead; four sisters, Donna Short and husband, Roger, of Crab Orchard, Bonnie LeFever and husband, Jack, of Closplint, Doris Bush and Debbie Bush and husband, Bill, all of Holmes Mill; her stepmother, Rachel Williams of Harlan; eight grandchildren, Tianna King and husband, Eddie, Leonard Saylor Jr. and wife, Sharon, Kristy Saylor, Misty Warren and husband, Jason, Jennifer Beverly and husband, Toby, Bobbie Lee Honeycutt and girlfriend, Jackie, Gilbert Saylor and wife, Chassidy, and Maudie Jo Saylor and boyfriend, Allen; 12 great grandchildren, Jeffery Banfield, Chris Saylor, Ethan Saylor, Paige Honeycutt, Caleb Beverly, Hannah Beverly, Emily Beverly, Britney Saylor, Brianna Saylor, Braxton Saylor, Connor Warren and Aaron Warren; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted at the Salem Baptist Church Saturday, February 27 at 1 P.M. with Rev. A. B. Smallwood, Rev. Jerry Smith, Rev. Larry Hensley and Rev. Lester Caudill officiating. Mrs. Saylor will be laid to rest in the Gilbert Saylor Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Toby Beverly, Stacy Roark, Virgil Roark, D. C. Patterson, Randy Patterson, Brandon Smith, Wendall Smith and Pete Mills. Honorary bearers will be nephews and friends.
