Mr. Ronnie Gene Taylor, 50, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at his home. He was the son of Eugene A. and Lelvia Ruth Chesnut Taylor born on January 9, 1960 in Pineville.

Mr. Taylor was a former coal miner and of the Worldwide Church of God faith. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his daughter.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Myrtle Strong Taylor and Arthur and Belle Cottongim Chesnut.

Survivors include his parents, Eugene and Ruth Taylor of Barbourville; his daughter, Madison Kennedy Taylor of Bimble; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, February 17 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Dennis Chesnut and Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. He will be laid to rest in the New Bethel Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Brent Bingham, Gilbert Holland, Patrick Detherage, Eddie Lay, Matt Mills and Lewis Branstutter. Honorary bearers will be his cousins and special friends.

Expressions of sympathy may go to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
